I started this blog about a month ago in hopes of sharing my journey with a few family members. However, within a month, I’ve gained almost 50 followers and have earned more then 2,000 views. This has given me the confidence to start another blog, one that Zack and I will be sharing. It’s going to be our blog.
Zackary and I are still working on all the little details of our site, but we expect the new blog to be out by Christmas / Early January. So be sure to follow along on this blog so that when the other blog comes out, you won’t miss it! (I’ll publish a post about the new blog when it comes out!!)
We’ve finally decorated our Christmas tree! And now, this #Blogmas post is going to be my family’s guide to decorating the perfect tree. (Thanks to Zack and Finn for all their help!)
Find a Xmas tree! The best way to do this, is to go out into the great outdoors, and chop one down! (Thank you to Dad, Finn, Zack, Colter and Miguel for doing this!)
Set it up! We always place ours in the family / living room. (Big thanks to Mom, Grandma, Grandpa, Raine and Alaïa for doing this with me!!)
Find those decorations! (Thank you to Domi, Veri, Connor and Raine for digging them out of the back closet!)
Put the bows, balls, lights and tinsel on the tree!
Add extra decorations!
Finally, place the star (or angel) on top of the tree. As family tradition in the house, the youngest member their gets to do it. Technically, Veronica is the youngest, so we suppose she should do it, but since Dominique is only 2 minutes older, we let them both do it! (Thank you to Finn and Zack for lifting them up so they could reach the tippy-top of the tree)
The tree is complete! Be sure to enjoy it with a nice cup of hot cocoa with your family!

#Blogmas post #1! December has officially rolled around, and as tradition my family will be decorating the house. With so many kids in the family, it can be a challenge to keep everything organized, but we are definitely trying to do so this year!
We have “Christmas Groups” every year in our family. In other words, we organize who is in charge of what this time of year. Alaïa, Finn (Alaïa’s boyfriend), Connor and Veronica will be in charge of the upstairs decorating. This includes everything that needs to be decorated upstairs except for the Christmas Tree. (The Christmas Tree is family tradition to do together, and we set it up 2 weeks before Christmas). Dad, Colter, Raine, Granny and Dominque will be in charge of the downstairs decorating which will include the chimney and pulling out those old lights. Lastly, is the outside decorating. This year, Gramps, Mom, Zack (my boyfriend) and I will tackle it! We will make a few snowmen, set up the lights and outside Xmas tree, as well as the cardboard Rudolph and Frosty and Santa.
We will try to tackle it all in a day, and I am betting we will have a lot of hot chocolate to keep us going! Christmas is personally my favourite time of the year, as it means that DHS (Dental Hygiene School) finishes for a little while, and I have tons of time to hang with my family.
But now I hear Miguel telling me to get back to work. I will do so, and hopefully will not get another warning from my dear Guelly!
Next post, I will be sure to include some photos of our newly decorated house!
ANNOUNCEMENT EVERYONE!!! As we all know, Christmas is fast approaching. Hallmark movies are playing, houses are being decorated, and your favourite Christmas playlist is playing. And so I am gonna be making a bit of a change to my blog in December.
What I’m tryna get at is that I will be hitting “pause” on my regular posts (eg. Meet My Boyfriend, Where Do I Live?, Dog Names I Love etc, etc.) so that I can start my Christmasy posts! I will return in January with posts such as my Workout Routine & House Tour, but for now it’s time for… (Drumroll Please)

That’s right! You see stuff all over YouTube about VLOGmas, but thats for videographers. I am a blogger. Therefore, I will be doing Blogmas!
Every so often, I will have a post on me, Zack and my family preparing for the holidays. Posts about things like decorating the house, family traditions, Christmas baking, etc! Now, this being said, I will be doing fewer posts, but the quality and length will go up, so trust me! It’s only gonna get better!

My opinion on wikiHow. Wow. What a topic! So many people have many different opinions on the site, and I am taking a bit of a writer’s risk by stating mine.
Let’s just jump write in though! (Get my pun? Write, right?)
When you first enter the wikiHow site, you are immediately greeted by a “We’re trying to help everyone on the planet learn how to do anything. Join us.” That’s a big mouthful! And obviously, wikiHow is undertaking a big challenge. It say’s on their search bar, wikiHow to do anything. So let’s explore a bit!
In my case, I decided to search up something simple like: “How to Make Vanilla Fudge ” and here is what I found!
I was indeed greeted by a heck load of fudge articles, and yes, there was one on vanilla fudge! The article was good quality, in depth and overall seemed pretty helpful.
It had a 4 and some star rating, but I gave it a full 5 stars in my rating. The article has over 15,300 views and seemed pretty good in total.
An article like this is what makes wikiHow a good site in my opinion. A article that has information, direction and quality to it makes any site good.
If wikiHow was filled with reasonable, helpful articles like this, I would totally give the overall site 5 stars! But unfortunately, there are some… weird articles.
I decided to test my luck, and google how to “Live”. Living is something we literally all do, but I wanted to see if wikiHow editors were odd enough to have a article on it.
Sure enough, they had a article on it. But it seemed weird. Like why? Everyone kinda knows how to live! What about even titling it as: “How to Live Better” so it doesn’t seem so weird! There is also other wikiHow’s on how to be mean, rude etc. Why would you want to promote that is my question?
Here’s my opinion in general through. They have some great articles on wikiHow, such as how to Make Money as a Kid, or how to Make Vanilla Fudge. But they also have some nutty ones. This youtuber, Danny, had some fair points to make about wikiHow.
I’d say all in all, its a good site, but sometimes its wacko, so be carful! (Also, I just want to point out that there were a TON of ads on the site!! Like a lot!)
It’s a question a lot of people ask each other casually. And today, I am gonna name the YouTuber’s I watch! I won’t go into great detail, but I will list my top favs. 😉 (If you would like me to go into detail, I will later!)
I do hope I haven’t missed anyone really important on the list, and if I did, I will revise it later. Leave a comment in the comments if you watch any of these YouTuber’s or what your fav’s are.
A recently got a comment from my sister’s Alaia and Raine that I should make a post on my blog about where I live. Raine said: “They can’t tell if you live in a dorm or with us, or in a house.” And then Alaia added: “And it’s important for them to know as you have to connect with your readers.”
I’m really happy that my 18 and 17 year old sisters are taking interest in my blog, as it gives me a real confidence boost. As well as the fact that you guys are commenting and liking!! That’s unreal that people actually read my stuff.
But, now, onto the question: Where do I live?
I live in Manitoba obviously, as I attend the UoM. I do not live in residence or with my family. I rent my own house!
Now, it is pretty hard to rent when you are in university, as it is expensive. But thanks to my tutoring business on the side, (oh yeah, thats right! I forgot to mention that I tutor 6 kids in Math studies ;)) I have a small apartment which has a kitchen, dining / living room, storage room, bedroom, bathroom, and a small lounge. (which is surprising considering how its a apartment and how small it is!!) Now, it is pretty tiny, but in the future, I’m hoping to move out and live with Zack when I marry him.
Now another thing you might ask is: Isn’t it better to live on Campus when you attend Unniveristy?
I would say or some, yes. For others like me you need their personal space and need to have a place to call home, no. For me, I do my Morning Routine, go to university (I’ll maybe do a post on my daily day in university) come home and do my evening routine (which consists of a lot of things, including tutoring) and then head to bed and repeat the next day.
I love being able to come home to a space of my own which separates me from school. It makes me feel independent and for me, I enjoy it! Everyone is different, but renting really works well for me.
